  • The Order of St. Sylvester is a Catholic-ordained order of monks and priests (called "Sylvestrines") that is dedicated to the use of beneficial magic, promote magical awareness within the Church, and to investigate magical phenomena. It is mostly composed of Awakened individuals, but also has several members who simply are knowledgeable in the magical arts, with no talent whatsoever. This order is also used as a front for a more militant group called the Order of the Temple. Since the Order of the Temple is more conspiratorial, the ties between the two orders are often vague and misleading. The majority of Sylvestrines have no awareness of the existence of the Templars.
