The Bestri-class, or Scout-class, was a type of scout that was utilized by the Bajorans in the early-to-mid-24th century for scouting and scientific research. This vessel's design was rooted in the ship-building traditions of Bajor. (ST:CCG: Deep Space Nine) Vessels of this class were considered to be one of the fastest and most reliable designs by the Bajorans. During the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor these vessels fell out of use as their parts were scavenged by the Bajoran Resistance to be fitted to more combat-orientated vessels. During the Cardassian Occupation of Bajor these vessels fell out of use as their parts were scavenged by the Bajoran Resistance to be fitted to more combat-orientated vessels. (ST:CCG: Second Edition) Despite this, a few of these vessels remained in service in the 2360s and 2370s. In 2369, Tahna Los used a Bestri-class vessel to escape back to Bajor from Cardassian space. Unfortunately, the vessel was destroyed by the Galor-class warship, Aldara, as the ship approached Deep Space 9. (DS9 episode: "Past Prologue", ST:CCG: Deep Space Nine)
