| - Earlier I mentioned how Lara Croft's performance suggests that she may not have been worthy of her one seed, but after two round of action, Pac Man may have proven even less worthy of the 1 seed than Lara was. First of all, not even two thirds of bracketmakers picked Pac Man to make it out of a four pack featuring Goemon, Abe, and Kyo Kusanagi. Secondly, of all the 1 seeds in the 2002 contest, Pac Man had the biggest problems with vote totals through the first two rounds. He followed up a 41150 vote performance in the first round with a match in which he dropped by nearly 10000 votes. Not only was Pac Man clearly not deserving of a 1 seed, he, like Lara Croft, was failing to blow away cannon fodder. Not that a match against Kusanagi was ever in question, of course. The issue is that even though Pac Man is more a status symbol than a strong character in polls, he wasn't exactly in a Lara-esque position. Croft had Crono to deal with at this point in this contest. Pac Man had either Max Payne or Scorpion, and it would take an act of God himself for someone like Pac Man to lose to one of those two. <_< >_> • Previous Match • Next Match
