  • Yhwach (ユーハバッハ Yūhabahha, otherwise romanized as Juhabach) is the progenitor of the Modern-day Quincy, both Echt and Gemischt. He is the legendary "Sealed Quincy King" of the "Kaiser Gesang", and thus, holds an enormous level of influence over all living Quincy. Prior to his revival, Yhwach and his forces engaged in a tremendously bloody battle against the primitive Gotei 13, when they were known as the 'Divisions'. In this battle, he was known to be failed to be killed by Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. After having been revived, taking nine hundred and ninety-nine years, Yhwach emerged as the leader of an organization known as the Wandenreich. Hiding themselves in the "shadows" of Seireitei, Yhwach's forces engaged in several consecutive battles against the current incarnation of the Gotei 13. In their first invasion, he was the killer of their then Captain-Commander, Genryūsai Shigekuni Yamamoto. After being defeated, he, at some point, was revived. Though it is unknown how he did so, he appears to be on a new plane of existence, having come back to his origins as a Quincy. He was formerly one of the prosperous Quincy of Atlantis, but had argued with their initial Quincy Council. Due to this conflict, he and his followers had left their sanctuary, which was eventually destroyed after a number of wars with the Reikon Kyuuban. Through this, he began to use his followers as a means to repopulate his species, allowing them to become the modern-day Quincy as they are now known as. Any affiliations, occupations, and the like, are unknown as of now. However, his existence is a menace to the balance of the entirety of the spiritual and human world alike, and he knows it very well.
