Quinton is a fictional town based loosely off of the real Quinton, Oklahoma of the United States. The town has a population of a little over 1,000 with many individuals living nearly below the poverty line. The town itself mainly consists of senior citizens and married couples, which makes for a very stable environment despite the economy of the town, especially for local garbage and junkyard man, Ivan Demidov and his son, Mischa. The town also consists mainly of those who are deeply religious and mostly Christian and Catholic, so this may have been a cause for Ivan's firm beliefs. There isn't much else mentioned about the town since it is only explored briefly throughout the game.

The people of the town both respect and fear Ivan for his great height, appearance and group of Russians who work and live in the town. Claire and Leon eventually arrive in the town to pay it a visit after hearing about Ivan's identity and his precise location. They arrive at his junkyard where they are certainly not welcome by his group at first. Once they abandon the yard, the town is later attacked by Reaper X creatures and most of the town's inhabitants are killed in the process. Upon viewing it in a cutscene, it can be noticed that Ivan also has several signs posted around his scrap yard, some of which do read: * ENTER AT YOUR OWN CHOICE OF DEATH. * STEAL AND I STEAL YOUR LEGS. * OPEN 24/7. BRING CASH ONLY.
