Olli Malmivaara (b. March 13th 1982 in Kajaani, Finland) is a professional defenseman who plays in the SM-Liiga for JYP Jyväskylä. Drafted by the Chicago Blackhawks 117th overall of the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Malmivaara made his professional debuts with the SM-Liiga's Jokerit Helsinki, the club that had formed him; he later signed with SaiPa Lappeenranta, with which he played two seasons and a half before signing with Lowell in 2006. He represented Finland at the 2000 IIHF World U18 Championships and the 2001 and 2002 World Junior Championships.
