The coroner denies them access but after LeVar spills coffee on the coroner's expensive shoes, they slip into the back and discover that Lydia died of an allergic reaction to peanuts.

- A morgue is an area on a starship, starbase or other vessel or facility where officials store the physical remains of the recently deceased for identification, autopsy and other post mortem activities. These storage areas sometimes use stasis fields to preserve the bodies against further decay. The morgues aboard Stoneship-class starships could handle 250 corpses at once; Vor'cha-class starships, like Klingon and Lyran dreadnoughts, had a morgue equipped with an autopsy station. - The mortuary is the storage area or building for the corpses of the deceased. They are stored until an autopsy can be performed or funeral arrangements can be made. Morgue storage facilities must be kept refrigerated to prevent dead flesh from decaying. As a result, they are usually kept in the basement of hospitals to keep them at the lowest possible constant temperature and minimize humidity. Although most people won't want to think about it, the morgue is usually near the cafeteria.
