Although the Talman guitars were assembled in Japan by FujiGen, they were the first Ibanez guitars to feature Korean hardware, with pickguard assemblies pre-wired in Korea and dropped into bodies in Japan. The other notable feature of the first Talman models was the "Resoncast" body, which was basically just a marketing term for medium-density fiberboard. This design decision also helped keep costs down. The TC630 is a similar model with a different tremolo. The TC530 was discontinued after 1995.

abstract
  • Although the Talman guitars were assembled in Japan by FujiGen, they were the first Ibanez guitars to feature Korean hardware, with pickguard assemblies pre-wired in Korea and dropped into bodies in Japan. The other notable feature of the first Talman models was the "Resoncast" body, which was basically just a marketing term for medium-density fiberboard. This design decision also helped keep costs down. The TC530's resoncast body is bolted to a maple neck with a 22-fret rosewood fingerboard with dot position markers. Components include a TZ100 floating synchronized tremolo bridge and three Sky lipstick-style single coil pickups mounted in an ivory pickguard. The TC630 is a similar model with a different tremolo. The TC530 was discontinued after 1995.
