- Welsh defender Tom Lockyer graduated through the Rovers youth system, signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2013. Lockyer joined the youth set-up in 2011 after having been released by Cardiff City as a 16-year-old. He skippered the Pirates' successful under-18 side, which picked up a league and cup double during the 2012–13 season, and he also found himself on the fringes of the first team that year, making his senior debut on 12 January 2013 in a 3–0 victory over Fleetwood Town. He went on to make a total of four substitute appearances for the first team in his second year as a scholar, as well as being an unused substitute a further fifteen times.

- Welsh defender Tom Lockyer graduated through the Rovers youth system, signing his first professional contract in the summer of 2013. He skippered the Pirates' successful under-18 side, which picked up a league and cup double during the 2012–13 season, and he also found himself on the fringes of the first team that year, making his senior debut on 12 January 2013 in a 3–0 victory over Fleetwood Town. He went on to make a total of four substitute appearances for the first team in his second year as a scholar, as well as being an unused substitute a further fifteen times. In addition to the games mentioned above, he was also named on the bench for the abandoned match against Wycombe Wanderers on 25 August 2012 – his first involvement with the senior side. After impressing both with the youth team and first team, he was offered professional terms in time for the start of the 2013–14 season, along with his youth team colleagues Pat Keary, Jamie Lucas, Alefe Santos, Josh Southway and Matt Macey.
