The 2015 Canadian federal election (Formally the 42nd Canadian Federal election) was held on Monday, October 19th, 2015. The Conservative Party remained in party, but opposition leaders (Including the Liberal party) protested that the election was rigged. The protests lasted from October 20th 2015 to November 3rd, 2015. It ended after Stephen Harper said he won't be contesting in the 2017 Federal election, and instead Rob Anders will lead the Conservative Party starting March 1st, 2017. This also ended the NDP's opposition party stance, With the Liberal Party becoming the Opposition party.
