- As Popeye and Olive Oyl's new diner opens for business, the two sing that they "aim to please" their customers. Olive notices that the corner would be a much better spot for their restaurant, so Popeye relocates it. Wimpy and Bluto watch from across the street, commenting on how they would obtain a hamburger without paying. Wimpy goes first, with his "I'd gladly pay you Tuesday for a hamburger today" managing to convince the unsuspecting Popeye.

Next comes Bluto, demanding half a dozen sandwiches which are promptly shuffled into shape by Olive. After devouring them, he is presented the bill by Popeye, but he simply tears it to pieces before throwing mustard into Popeye's face. The sailor then socks him, and soon a fistfight breaks out between the two bruisers. As hamburgers and condiments fly, Wimpy returns for another free meal. When Bluto gains the upper hand, Popeye is served his spinach can by Olive, which allows him to promptly turn the tables and appropriately turn Bluto into a big piece of baloney.
