The lionesses, Simba, Timon, Pumbaa fight the hyenas and win. When Scar was cornered by Simba he tried to blame the hyenas to try to safe himsalf the hyenas who were listening felt betrayed. Simba and Scar are caught in a brutal fight but Scar loses when Simba kicks him over the side of Pride Rock, Scar survives but the hyenas began to surround him for betraying them, Scar tried to say that he didn 't mean it but they don't trust him any more and they close in leap on Scar and tear him apart as flames raise up around them . It is unknown whether the hyenas perished in the fire or fled the Pridelands. The Lion King 2: Simba's PrideEditThe hyenas are briefly mentioned by Nuka: "This place sure is scary since the hyenas left." This could imply that hyenas had moved on to a different place to live.
