He was also the father of fellow-Alorian President Jack Vincent Jr. Vincent was the son of men's clothing store owner Festoon and homemaker Hilda Vincent and grew up in Kurmal Province. He was the second of seven children. On 12 November 2474, he married Andrea Lindseed. Together they had six children: Tara, Jack Jr., Toby, Reed, Olga and Andre Festoon. Vincent attended Kurmal University earning his BA in Communications in 2468 and his MBA in 2471. From 2471-2484, he worked as an assistant producer and then executive producer for the Aloria News Network. Vincent started his life in politics as the treasurer of the Kurmal MLP chapter from 2476-2481. In 2484, he ran and won a seat in parliament. He was subsequently elected 8 times and served in that capacity from 2484-2512. Deciding not to run for reelection, Vincent went back to mass media hosting a Sunday morning political talk show called "Alorian Insider". After the show was cancelled in 2519, Vincent ran and was again elected to parliament. He served two terms from 2520-2526. In 2526, he ran and was surprisingly elected president. Often seen as somewhat aloof and overwhelmed during his tenure in office, Vincent was defeated for relection in 2529. Vincent retired after leaving office and wrote a presidential memoir entitled Live and In-Charge: My Three Years in the Presidential Hot Seat (2529). In 2532, he died at age 85 from natural causes.
