Matt MacKenzie (born on October 15, 1991, in New Westminster, British Columbia) is a Canadian defenceman playing for the Rochester Americans in the American Hockey League. He played junior hockey for the Calgary Hitmen and Tri-City Americans from 2007 to 2011. The Buffalo Sabres chose him 83rd overall in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. MacKenzie signed a three year, $1.6 million, entry-level contract with the Sabres on October 4, 2011. He was then assigned to the Americans, a farm team.
