The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks was the tag team of Balls Mahoney & Axl Rotten in Extreme Championship Wrestling. They began in 1997 and lasted until 1999. They are obviously given their name because their main weapons are the steel chairs, Balls' chair usually has 'BALLS' written on top of the chair and ECW logo or ECW pay-per-view logo on the seat, Axl's chair has "This is gonna hurt" written on the seat of his chair. Another name the two have been commonly called has been the "Rotten Balls" referring to their respective names. The team would sometimes team up with Spike Dudley and/or New Jack to take on their main enemies, the Dudley Boyz. It was this feud with the Dudleyz that the Dudleyz became famous or infamous for slamming or powerbombing either Balls or Axl through a table cove

They would sometimes face each other in matches like a flaming tables match. The Hardcore Chair Swingin' Freaks reunited at ECW One Night Stand in 2005 when they came out along with Kid Kash to battle the bWo & the Dudley Boyz before the Dudleyz' match with Tommy Dreamer & The Sandman.
