It was a cold night on the planet Hoth, in the rebel base. The Squad Leader paced in front of the medic door. His squad forming a semi-circle on supply canisters, around their captain. He could hear moans coming from inside. Minutes went by, but they felt like a lifetime, when finally it was quiet. There was silence for a few seconds, until it was broken by the shrill cry of his baby. The medic step out with the baby in hand, his face down. "It's a girl" he muttered over the cries. "She's gone" he whispered keeping his head down. "Sir, we're under attack. Two AT-ATs approaching."

The pilot took his daughter in hand and began to stride into the room. The medic reached out his hand, stopping the new father. "She's gone" he whispered keeping his head down. The father quickly handed his daughter off to his lieutenant. He slowly approached the door. His wife lay on the bed covered by a crude blanket. Approaching, he saw her lifeless eyes stare at him. Suddenly an alarm sounded. "Sir, we're under attack. Two AT-ATs approaching."
