Kalandurren, the Darkened Pillars, is a demon realm within the Astral Sea. It was once home of the god Amoth before an alliance of the demon lords Orcus, Demogorgon, Prince of Demons and Rimmon killed him. It is on Kalandurren that Amoth split Demogorgon's head in two. Amoth cast a self-sacrificing spell to try and destroy the three demons, but Orcus and Demogorgon used Rimmon as a shield. The death of the god and demon mixed with the mystical energy of the spell to create the Apocalypse Spell monster Light of Amoth.
