The Dead Men's Riots took place on May 11 in 246 HE. They were spread all over the Lower City of Corus, from the Commons almost to the Nightmarket. The riots broke out as a result of Crookshank's Opal Murders. Once the inhabitants of the Lower City realized Crookshank had seventeen of them murdered and eight more lined up to die, they couldn't be calmed. The riots are finally dissolved when the army moves in. The Dead Men's Riots were a major event near the end of Terrier, but weren't named then. Their proper named was only mentioned by Lakeland during the Bread Riot in Bloodhound.
