In 2975, she supported Magnolia Cayetano's unsuccessful bid. In 2978, Crosio stood for the Deputy Leadership against Kathy Borders. Crosio was soundly defeated. Despite this, when Borders ascended to the leadership, she named Crosio as her deputy leader. When Borders resigned, Crosio took up the reigns. In the first days of her leadership, Crosio announced that she would not have a deputy leader and dissolved the leadership in order to test her support. Of the party's 163 MP's, Crosio was supported by 151. 12 MP's voted against her. Unlike most of the other party leaders, Crosio decided to launch her bid for the presidency at the last minute and spend very little time campaigning. Ultimately, in December 2984, Crosio came in third place in the presidential election. She won 22% of the vote. Her endorsement of Thomas West in the runoff narrowly helped the Commonwealth Party retain the presidency. West won by a mere 0.19%. She did see the party gain an additional 11 MP's. Following the election, Crosio spoke with Amy Morton, the leader of the Commonwealth Party. Morton had proposed a new cabinet which saw few rewards for the SDP. Crosio told her that her party would vote against the government if they did not see changes. She also surprisingly announced that she would resign as leader of the SDP.
