The Inquisitor of the Drowning Goddess is a special prestige class of the kuo-toa. The majority of the kuo-toa who pick up this prestige class are monitors (monks) who have been charged with the duty to protect their communities from internal dangers such as insurgence and betrayal to outside forces. They do this with great ability, using their skills at intimidation, detection of falsehoods, and martial skill to end any danger to the lawful authorities.

They do this with great ability, using their skills at intimidation, detection of falsehoods, and martial skill to end any danger to the lawful authorities. Inquisitors are utterly devoted, believing it a holy duty to keep the status quo and prevent any chaotic elements from gathering sufficient strength to wreck havoc. Only their church and the goddess Blibdoolpoolp have any control over the actions of these elite few.
