abstract	Vurif Meg spent 20 years in the military before putting violent ways behind him and joining the Jedi Order. However, he would find that being a Jedi was more dangerous—and perhaps no less violent—than ground combat, and his final blaze of glory was seen by few. He was over fifty years old during the Stellar Imperial War. He entered the armed forces of his home planet in his late teens or early twenties and served for approximately twenty years. The horrors of war convinced him that he should change his ways and seek out something more peaceful. This brought him to Yavin 4, and he trained as a Jedi. He became a Jedi Knight around the year 20 ABY. He served as a Knight and used his previous experience to help him, often seeking diplomatic solutions first and bringing out the muscle when the situation demanded it. By the time of the Stellar Imperial War there was no way to remain peaceful and have any hope of success, so he accepted the necessity of violence and went forward with his missions. He was selected, along with Tiera Aranta, Jacen Solo, and Anakin Solo, to investigate the communications blackout of Dantooine in 28 ABY. The crew never reached Dantooine; they ran into part of a Stellar Imperial fleet and barely escaped. The escape left them stranded in space without their hyperdrive, and Tiera, who had memorized some starmaps, did not know what part of space they were in. They detonated their ship and tried to reach the surface of the nearest inhabitable planet in escape pods. Tiera and Vurif were in the pod that was damaged, and couldn't be steered far enough away from the blast to escape its explosion. They were both killed immediately.
