  • When you return, Maester Lucas reads the letter. "The question is, does Lord Mace mean his promise of support? Or was it an expedient thing to say?"
  • Rona shrugs. "All anyone talks about is getting back Ser Loras. I doubt they care what happens between two minor lords in the Reach."
  • "Rona? Have we heard anything from Highgarden? What's happening there?"
  • "It's gone too far. If we retreat now, Goldfoot will retaliate," Jon says firmly, but Ella wavers. "Shouldn't we wait until Lord Mace returns?"
  • "Lord Mace is still in Braavos," Maester Lucas observes. "No doubt he left his castellan with orders to put up a strong front to the bannermen."
