(DS9: "Emissary") Prior to the First Battle of Deep Space 9 in 2372, the Martok Changeling claimed that DS9 was again using duranium shadows and thoron fields to create the impression of massive armaments. However, since the 2369 incident, the station's defenses had indeed been upgraded with numerous phaser banks and about five thousand photon torpedoes. (DS9: "The Way of the Warrior")
