| - Charlotte Laurent was the fifth minister of foreign affairs and tenth President of J Andres. She was the Chief Ambassador to Europe for roughly nine years before she was selected to replace Minister Patrick Aurora when he announced his retirement. Laurent officially assumed the duties on January 2, 2061. Laurent became the first woman to hold a Minister post in J Andres history. She vowed to continue the policies established by Aurora, including promoting a global economy and a larger J Andres presence in North America and the world. She held the position for eleven years. Laurent ran as the Anchor party candidate in the 2072 elections because she felt the Nationalist party was not taking an aggressive enough stance against California, SSR, Mexico, and the North American Commonwealth. Although she was not elected, her fears were correct and would lead to her election as President in 2076. Laurent would serve as President throughout the entirety of the Grand Mexican War and can largely be credited for J Andres involvement, for better or for worse. Laurent died on May 27, 2085 after sustaining injuries in the nuclear attacks at the conclusion of the war.
