abstract	Rufus is a powerful swordsman, favouring the unique shape and structure of his sword to inflict strong, physical blows to the opponent. He can cunningly adapt his fighting techniques to the current situation. It is due to to this ability that he has been given a large bounty. He has a large amount of physical strength, being able to easily swing a sword almost larger than himself, with the capability of causing an incredible damage to the target or even smash a large boulder with little effort. His speed and endurance are also something to behold, quickly evading and even recieving close range physical blows from a martial arts specialist and quickly counter with a head strike with his blade. Due to being a fishman his strength and speed are ten times that of an average human but twice that underwater. He has also shown a strange ability to ride on waves and stand on water as if it were a solid. He can actually skate across water or even sink into it for a surprise attack. Also, he can breathe underwater due to being a fishman, but he can store and expel water from his body, originally thought to be the product of eating a Devil Fruit. This allows him to increase his fighting abilities even when there is no water around him. This seems to be a product of his incredible lung power, where he can absorb water into his lungs and store it there for release later. It is obvious that he has not consumed a devil fruit due to his underwater activity, where most of his battles have taken place.
