In the Sonic Episode, Sonic Man gives Sonic his fourteenth Town Mission. The delusional Sonic Man assumes that Sonic is merely one of his fans in a costume, and offers him an autograph, which he declines. He denies that Sonic is the real hedgehog and challenges him to a race through New City to see who the real hero is. In the race, Sonic makes very short work of Sonic Man, who even copies Sonic's running stance by putting his hands behind his back. When Sonic Man has been thrashed in the race, he is shocked to have found out that he's met the real thing, asking "Can I have your autograph?" and "Can I be your apprentice?"
