The Centre Estates were a group of inner-city council estates in Birmingham. They were built between the inner and middle ring road during the 1960s. The estates were Woodview, Benmore, Five Ways, Lee Bank and The Sentinels. The estates all had tower blocks, with The Sentinels being the tallest of them all. The estates are all being regenerated by Optima Community Housing Association. Lee Bank is seeing the largest regeneration scheme which has seen several tower blocks demolished, seven refurbished and the rest of the low rise buildings demolished.
