With that work ethic and God-given talent, he's a special young man. "He talks about going to bed at night and being able to look at himself in the mirror and know he works harder than anyone he's faced." Being the first City League wrestler to win a regional title: "It's special knowing that I'm the only one that ever did it. I was real proud of myself, and all of my coaches were proud of me." His drastic improvement in three years of wrestling: "Me and my assistant coach, Chaney Lewis, got together, and he took me out all summer wrestling at camps and stuff. I went to some bigger tournaments and worked twice as hard. I worked hard last year and didn't make it. So I worked even harder this year." His work ethic: "I just think of it like this: if you outwork your opponent, you can look in the mirror and say you worked too hard, you can't lose. You have to go 100 percent every time you're on the mat, when you lift and run. I try not to hold anything back at practice. If I do that, I won't hold anything back on the mat." Improvement in his senior year: "I know I got to work on my bottom work. I'm going to work on technique and stay on the mat and wrestle. I worked twice as hard this year. ... I have to work three times as hard next year." Wrestling in college: "I want to wrestle Division I. I really want to wrestle for Pitt." Wrestler he admires: "My assistant coach, Chaney Lewis. He just motivates me to work hard. He wants me to be the best. I can really talk to him about wrestling." Read more: Sports Spotlight: Godwin Nyama - Pittsburgh Tribune-Review
