Annie Florence Remington (née Clark) (17 September 1903 - 1980) was a Labour Party politician active in the Tottenham area. Born in Tottenham, she was the daughter of Richard Clark and Annie née Quayle. Her father's occupation was given as a porter. By 1911 she had been adopted, along with her brother, by George William and Annie Halleybone of Holloway. In 1925 she married George William Remington. Labour Party member of the Greater London Council: Haringey 1964 – 1967 Mayor of Tottenham December 1953-55 and the Mayor of Haringey 1966-7. See also [1]. Image here [2]
