King Pharanôz was the king of the , a race of slimey alien beings. He is not described in great detail, but it is known that his body was composed of yellow or golden slime (a sign of royalty, though after Pharanôz, they seemed to have lost this trait, as neither Zeug, Staff or Staff Jr. displays it), rather than the green color of the other Staffs seen. His head is topped with crown-like protusions of solidified golden slime. Little is known about the role of Pharanôz in the story; he was the last staffian ruler before the Terrible Teachers began destroying staffian civilization. His spawn and successor Zeug already ruled a ruined and shattered race, and his "grand-son" Staff, the last of his race, was merely a servant to Horrible Harvest.
