abstract
  • This village belongs to Yellana and her people. It is situated on top of an isolated butte that protects the tribe from predators. The top of the butte, and by extension the village, can only be accessed by climbing up the rock wall at a single point. After Turok and Andar rescue Yellana from a long-horned bison, she brings them—and the bison's meat—to her village. The two warriors realize that the men have been missing for two months after having left on a hunting trip, and they set off to locate them, Yellana in tow. They finally locate the men, trapped in a great pit, and bring them back safely to the village.
