Operation: CONDITION RED was an URNA mission, primarily the forced evacuation of the entire Yucatan Peninsula. As a result of the Rain Forest Wars spreading northwards, the Frieden Movement had struck at Koslovic encampments across the Yucatan, and both sides were in constant conflict. URNA officials decided that a heavy handed military response was required, but before it could be delivered, the civilian population had to be moved. Thus, CONDITION RED went into effect, forcibly evicting hundreds of thousands of people from their homes and communities. That it was for their safety did little to quell tempers and outrage - what quelled that was the ensuing military response against those who had foolishly brought the conflict to the doorstep of the Unified Republic.
