Costobocia was a wealthy and prosperous Principality on the edge of the Cimbrian Alliance. It was one of the three Principalities in the country, the others being Roxolania and Carpia which were in the same area. Costobocia was led by the youger brother of Prince Roxolov of Roxolania. He took the name Vladimir and though his coutnry was wealthy, he had no scruples in taking advantage of this. In the capital city of Costoboca (Zaporizhia) there was a project that was very rare even among the other Principalities let alone the rest of the Alliance. The palace of Costobocia was going to be the largest among any of the others. Several of the other Kingdoms had palace built but they were not very big or grand or spectacular. Many were renovations to older buildings made into palaces or castles.

Though some of the neighbors looked crossly at this move they were not about to cause a war within such a young nation.
