The Mining Deck is the heart of the USG Ishimura. This is where asteroids and planet fragments are broken apart and smelted for valuable minerals. A 4-level deck, it is by far the largest deck on the Ishimura. Asteroids are brought in via an entrance on the third level and held in place by gravity tethers. During your time spent in the Deck you must make your way to an asteroid in the launch bay, attach an S.O.S. Beacon to it, destroy the four gravity tethers keeping it in place and finally launch it in the hopes that another ship will pick it up.
