Synopsis
  • While Henry continues to track the vamps' latest whereabouts, the vamps themselves lay claim to another victim. Their former "bridegroom" David has returned from the dead as well and is seeking revenge. Howler departs from her friends once again and goes to the home where her son Tommy is being raised. Peering through the window, she sees the boy's foster father preparing to strike him in a fit of anger. Howler is ready to burst into the home, but her sister Jenn appears and holds her back. Howler and Jenn enter the house and Howler holds everyone in place with her hypnotic gaze. She is ready to kill Tommy's foster father, but Jenn calms her down. When Tommy enters the room, Jenn pretends to be her sister. Moments later, Henry Gallagher and Dave both arive at the homestead. Dave attacks Gallagher, but Howler leaps to his defense. The two vampires begin fighting and Dave tries to slay his former "bride" with a broken sofa leg. Howler fights back, biting Dave in the face. The other vamps show up at the house and Mink fires a crossbow bolt that impales both Dave and Howler. They race inside and quickly remove the projectile from Howler's chest. David however, is not so fortunate. They dismember his body and pack the pieces away into five separate backpacks to be disposed of later. Howler, though still weak, rises from the floor. She ties Gallagher to a chair and tells him that she'll let him live. Despite her nature, she also spares Tommy's foster parents . Howler leaves Tommy in the care of her sister Jenn. She knows that she could never be a proper mother now that she's a vampire, but is comforted knowing that the boy will be looked after. She regroups with the other vamps and together they race off into the night.
  • At night, the Vamps ride up out of the ground on their motorcycles and head to Texas. They break into the Texas DMV and hack their computer systems, to get new license plate numbers. While Screech cracks the system, Whipsnake steals the license plates. Elsewhere, detective Hank Gallagher and chief of police Dwayne Bradshaw continue to investigate the mysterious death of the truck driver. Bradshaw informs the man's brother-in-law of what has transpired. He finds evidence of motorcycle tracks in the back of the decedent's meat truck. Later, the Vamps break into Lone Star Hogs and steal fresh motorcycles. They apply the new tags and also acquire fresh clothes. An employee surprises them and fires a shot into Whipsnake's chest. She lunges at the man, disarming him, while also driving her fangs into his throat. The others want to join in, but they realize that Whipsnake needs this more than they do. They then travel to another biker bar and begin hunting for more prey. While the others carouse with the locals, Whipsnake gets into an arm wrestling contest with a biker. She could easily defeat him, but to protect her cover, she allows her opponent to win. Several sheriffs' deputies enter the establishment and begin asking questions about some bikers riding on North Carolina plates. The man whom Whipsnake arm wrestled lies to them and tells the police that Whipsnake has been traveling with him since San Diego. With no other leads to investigate, the officers turn and leave. Another biker befriends Howler and gives her a book titled How to Disappear: A Manual for Going Underground. He tells them that bikers need to stick together. The Vamps thank their new friends, and Howler begins to realize the value in having allies in the biker community - even if they don't know that they are vampires. As the evening presses on, the Vamps grow hungry. Screech goes out into the middle of a desert where she finds a Native American in the midst of a vision quest. Using her vampiric allure, she baits him to leave his protective prayer ties and embrace her. Without anything to keep them at bay, the other vamps rise up out of the ground and feed on him. The evening wears on and detective Gallagher comes upon the body of the dead Native American. He sees a woman standing nearby and begins to question her. Suddenly, she takes Gallagher into her arms, but pushes away just as she begins biting down on his lip. Confused and frustrated, she races off into the night.
  • Five female vampires bring back some fresh human victims for their master David. After he becomes blood-drunk from the feast, the vamps decide they no longer wish to exist as his "brides", so they attack him en masse. They chain him to four motorcycles and tear him to pieces before driving a stake into what is left of his torso. Howler, the de facto leader of the vamps tells the other that they must scatter the remains in different graves. Afterwards, they see one of David's surviving human victims, scrambling to get away. The vamps descend upon him and drink his blood. Taking their motorcycles, the vamps drive on through the night until they cross the Alabama state line. Mink uses her whiles to convince a truck driver to give them a ride. They roll their bikes into the back of his meat truck and sleep inside frozen beef carcasses during the daylight hours. As day turns to night again, the Vamps leave the seclusion of the meat truck and slaughter the driver. They leave his body suspended from a meat hook in the back. Their next stop is at a biker bar, where Skeeter entertains the patrons while the others select their next targets. Howler, who has consumed less blood than the others as of late, finds a biker and slakes her thirst. Afterwards, they ride off until sunrise forces them to go underground. The following morning, a private detective named Hank Gallagher finds the abandoned meat truck with the remains of the driver suspended in the back.
  • The vamps ride in to Las Vegas for an evening of fun and fortune. Howler clearly has something else on her mind and decides to split off from the group to do her own hunting. The other vamps rent a room and change clothes and apply their make-up. In New Mexico, private investigator Hank Gallagher investigates another crime scene in the middle of the desert. He is accompanied by a woman named Jennifer. Jennifer finds a partially buried desiccated corpse and begins having bizarre visions of a vampire. Her visions are that of her twin sister, Howler. At the Desert End Casino, the vamps hit the floor. Mink hits the roulette wheel while Whipsnake concentrates on the high rollers at the Baccarat tables. Mink targets a young red-haired woman in the lounge and begins to make her moves. Skeeter finds a blackjack dealer who interests her and plays several hands before inviting him up to her room. Howler meanwhile, now finally back in her hometown, leaves the casino and begins to explore her past. She breaks into a records office and tries to find information regarding her son. Failing that however, she does find the home address of the court judge responsible for taking her child away from her. She breaks into his house late at night and gets her revenge. Gaining only temporary satisfaction, she returns to the casino. Howler meets back up with the other vamps some time after each of them have satisfied their own bloodlust. They ride their bikes out into the middle of the desert and bury them. They are careful to remove the plates and any other articles that might connect them with the vamps. Hypnotizing a chauffeur, they have him drive them to the airport. Meanwhile, Gallagher and Jennifer stop at a bar in New Mexico. Jennifer meets a biker who insists that he knows her. She has no idea what he's talking about. She suddenly has another vision of her sister - this time she sees Howler burning in a corona of fire. Later the night, the vamps book passage on an airplane and fly towards New York. Now it is Howler's turn to suffer a psychic vision. She sees an image of her sister burning in a funeral pyre.
