The Ingeborg System was an inhabited star system near the Terra Haute System. In the early 18th Century PD, it was ruled by President for Life Adrian Lipsky, whose government developed a nanotech weapon to use against its Terra Haute rivals. When a Royal Manticoran Navy force under Rear Admiral Ellen D'Orville arrived to investigate in 1710 PD, the contagion had already depopulated one of the system's three artificial habitats, and infested a second one, Ingeborg Alpha. D'Orville was able to save about two thirds of its inhabitants before ordering its destruction with a nuclear strike. (Companion)
