- Little John is a Hero available in the Scenario Editor of Age of Empires II HD: The African Kingdoms. Little John is based on a legendary fellow English outlaw of Robin Hood with the same name, serving as his chief lieutenant and second-in-command of the Merry Men. Like other infantry units, Little John is affected by all upgrades that affect infantry as well as any civilization bonuses that affect them. - Little John was the name of a character in Human mythology. Living in 12th century England, he was a member of the Merry Men, a band of outlaws led by Robin Hood who made their home in Sherwood Forest. In 2367 the entity known as Q transported the senior officers of the USS Enterprise-D into a recreation of Sherwood Forest and the story of Robin Hood in an attempt to teach Captain Picard a lesson about love. During the reenactment, each of the officers played the part of one of the Merry Men. The role of Little John was played by Commander Riker. (TNG: "Qpid" )

- At an unknown point, Little John joined a band known as the Merry Men - a group of men who lived off of stealing from others to get by. This all came to an end, however, when their leader, Robin Hood, settled down and married a maid, Marian, and entered the business business. Hoping to get his friend back into stealing, Little John tells Robin Hood of word of King Midas' carriage traveling on the road near them the following day with few guards. He tries to convince Robin to join him, but is ultimately turned down. Later on though, when the Sheriff of Nottingham threatens Robin's business, he gets Little John and the other Merry Men to defy him.
