Little is known of this young boy, although he apparently lived under the strict rule of his father who would punish his son should he have stirred up trouble. The young boy appeared to have been a staunch lover of animals. He first caught sight of Appa being held captive in a metal cage at the circus. The bison was vainly attempting to extract a bale of hay using airbending. Defying his father's orders to remain outside the circus tent, he secretly crept inside and fed Appa the bale of hay, to which the grateful animal responded by licking the child's face. He quickly fled the circus tent upon seeing the circus master and circus trainer approaching, but bade Appa goodbye before being led away by his father.
