- Like other crawlers, Temp speaks in somewhat broken sentences, and has difficulties with counting and other basic math. However, Temp is a naturally skilled teacher, and teaches Hazard and Boots to speak Crawler with endless patience. Temp is also very good at perceiving danger.

- Like other crawlers, Temp speaks in somewhat broken sentences, and has difficulties with counting and other basic math. However, Temp is a naturally skilled teacher, and teaches Hazard and Boots to speak Crawler with endless patience. Temp is also very good at perceiving danger. In the first book, he gives Boots a ride, addressing her as 'Princess'. Later he,along with Tick, join the quest. Tick helps him escape with Boots, Gregor, Luxa Henry, Ares, Aurora, Ripred, and Gox. In book two,he warns them against the island with the mites, and Luxa and Aurora catch him and Boots. In book three,he figures out the Vineyard of Eyes isn't the cradle, and the starshade isn't the cure. In book four, he warns them against the poisonous fumes. In book 5,he helps Boots in the code room.
- Lab 10 I. b: -a Displays current ARP entries by interrogating the current protocol data. If inet_addr is specified, the IP and Physical addresses for only the specified computer are displayed. If more than one network interface uses ARP, entries for each ARP table are displayed. d: Interface: 192.168.1.104 --- 0x2 Internet Address Physical Address Type 192.168.1.1 00-40-f4-f5-67-a2 dynamic 192.168.1.101 00-0a-eb-a5-f0-2e dynamic e: The sending host automatically sent the request to the destination with out the computer’s operator even being aware. f. 192.168.1.101 00-0a-eb-a5-f0-2e dynamic is disappeared, because now I'm not connecting to the network device anymore. i: no, because the computer is behind a gateway, i can't find out the mac address where on a public IP. I'm still seeing the gateway address. III I. Because before you ping the IP that another computer has, you have to know the Mac which is actual address on that computer. since Address Resolution Protocol (ARP) is the method for finding a host's hardware address when only its network layer address is known. ARP coverted the Mac address to IP and let the computer know where the packets exactlly send to. IV: j Can't be computed V: I:Because the MTU for the most common encapsulation of IP over an Ethernet transmission link (RFC 894) is 1500 bytes. By convention the MTU includes the entire IP datagram, including all IP headers, but excludes link encapsulation headers. The extra link-level headers for the RFC 894 encapsulation comprise 18 bytes, A ping command send one frame each time, for a maximum Ethernet frame size of 1518 bytes. so another 266 bytes became a fragment. J: 1700 - 1518 = 266 whatever frame that contian more than 1518 bytes, only 1518 byte will be received on that time, and others are IP fragments. K: Fragmentation Flags: [0-20] %000 [20 Mask 0xE0] it is a request to routers not to fragment the datagram since the destination is incapable of putting the pieces back together. Fragment Offset: [0-16] 185 [20-21 Mask 0x1FFF] ( [0-1] 1480 bytes) [0-7] This field solves the problem of sequencing fragments by indicating to the recipient device where in the overall message each particular fragment should be placed. here we have the number 185. 185 * 8 = 1480. the length of fragment now is 1480byte. LAB11: UPPER LAYERS Upper Layer consider as network layer above transport layer. In ISO model, upper layer consider as Session layer, Presentation layer and Application layer. But in The five layer TCP/IP, we conbine all these three as Application layer. Upper Layer include many protocoles such as DHCP • DNS • FTP • HTTP • POP3 • SMTP • SNMP • SSH • TELNET… DNS cache: In Windows word, we can use the comand ipconfig /? | more to find switch as shows below. /flushdns | /displaydns | /registerdns | /flushdns force system delete all recordes inside DNS cache. /displaydns allow us to see what inside DNS cache. /registerdns can letus manually add DNS recodes. TTL: time to live (TTL), is a number store inside DNS cache. Because people may change their DNS recorde, so we need to make every DNS recorde new so we can connect to a right machine. The TTL only allow a certain domain name store in cache for certain time. Once timeout, system need to visite DNS server to get most recent DNS recorde from WAN. EtherPeek: When the DNS cache will be change. When we open DNS protocol monitor, we can see there have no DNS packet. When we type ipconfig /displaydns , no new recordes. When we try to open a new webpage on IE, if the webpage never opened after boot up, DNS package will appear on EtherPeek. Type ipconfig /displaydns again, we will see the new DNS recorde already in our DNS cache. DNS package only created when we don’t have a match recorde in local DNS cache. Nslookup: Nslookup utility simply using DNS service to find IP address by using domain name. User need to input domain name. When we input nslookup, system will wait user to input domain name. When we input nslookup www.yshoo.com ,output will shows the domain name and the domain’s ip address. When we type nslookup first, then type www.yahoo.com, we will get a output with domain name, ip address and ISP’s DNS server domain name plus ipaddress.

Alexander the Great however decided to take a slightly different approach… He ordered his men to burn their boats at once As their only means of retreat went up in flames, legend has it that Alexander turned to his men and said “we go home in Persian ships, or we die” This unorthodox decision lead to one of the greatest wins of all time. Humans love to have options, when we set goals there always tends to be a second option sitting in the back of our mind, a safety cushion… the so called ‘Plan B’ that you’re ready to fall back onto if you don’t reach your beloved goal. If you take the approach that Alexander did you will be setting yourself up for success, by focusing your mind on one thing, and one thing only you are left with no other option but to give it everything you have. This principle can be applied to any aspect of your life. That business you’ve been trying to set up on the side? Focus 100% on it… throw yourself right into the deep end and make it work, if you know you’ve got a comfortable job that’s paying the bills you will be nowhere near as inclined to give it your all, and I say this from experience. So what risks are you taking in your life, are you putting yourself all in? Do you have one eye on the battle at hand and one eye focused on retreat? An exit plan will always lead to mediocre commitment. Burn your boats! Until next time... SJ PO BOX 274, Duncraig East, Perth, WA 6023, AUSTRALIA==Alexander the Great==smaller
