  • The Argosian League is the most powerful of the Great Leagues. It consists of the Atlantian Empire, Calandrian Empire, Kilrathian Democracy and the Semlarian Kingdom. The Argosian League is primarily a defensive alliance, but has been known to strike first on a number of occasions, such as the First League War. The Argosian League was formed partly as a response to the formation of the Peace League some eighty years earlier, and partly as a natural extension of the already existing alliance between the Atlantian Empire, the Calandrian Empire, and the Kilrathian Democracy. The inclusion of the Semlarian Kingdom came about because of a desire of the Atlantian Empire to protect their Semlarian allies.
