In August 2013 Izhmash were merged with the Izhevsk Mechanical Plant, having previously been one of the largest corporations in the assault rifle field. In particular, Izhmash manufacture the famous Kalashnikov series of assault rifles, along with a host of other Russian arms, and have even been known to produce other goods, such as motorcycles and cars.
