Chi Attunement is the process by which a kuei-jin learns to enhance their physical abilities through study of a particular shintai. While Kindred can naturally use the power of their blood to enhance their physical abilities, kuei-jin cannot use chi in this way without training. Each shintai is "attuned" to a specific physical ability, and as a kuei-jin progresses in their study of the shintai they gain the ability to temporarily enhance the attuned ability.

  • Chi Attunement is the process by which a kuei-jin learns to enhance their physical abilities through study of a particular shintai. In mechanical terms, a kuei-jin may spend chi to raise the level of a physical stat on a one-to-one basis up to their discipline rating in corresponding shintai. So, for example, a character with Blood Shintai 4 can spend up to four chi to raise her Strength by up to four points.
