Building is not something to be done off the cuff. Obviously there is a theory to it, and that theory can be discovered and applied or missed entirely. The latter would lead to disaster. The image below is an initial hypothetical grid for a "large resolution" planet comparable to Coruscant. It has some advantages over past hypothetical grids; but if it can be streamlined and enhanced, so much the better by far.

The idea of this whole conceptual project is to work out what constitutes a truly good layout for building. Not something theoretically pretty, but something players will truly inhabit.
