| - Red Duvall (October 7, 1923 - December 12, 1994) was a NASCAR driver from Hammond, IN. He competed in eight Sprint Cup Series events in his career, earning four top-tens. Duvall made his initial foray into the sport during the 1951 season, when he finished 52nd in the final points. It was a good year for the driver. He finished 9th in the first series race in Atlanta, and then was even more impressive as he recorded a career-best 3rd place run at Mobile. Following that success, Duvall stepped it up to a four-race schedule for the 1952 season. At first, though, Duvall struggled. He finished a mediocre 35th in his first trip to Daytona Beach and then broke a steering belt to finish 19th at Detroit. But from there, Duvall recaptured some of his lost luck, closing out the year with a 6th place showing at Monroe and a 10th place showing at South Bend. Duvall only competed in one 1953 event, making more laps around the road course in Daytona Beach. Starting 20th in the field of fifty-seven, Duvall completed all but two laps in the race and wound up with some redemption for the previous year as he finished 14th. Duvall's final career race came during the 1954 season, when he competed at Palm Beach. A broken radiator, though, early in the race ended his chances of a successful exit. Duvall finished 25th.
