Eric d'Pontus (Eric d'Pontus, Duke of Pontus) (8 September 1698 – 8 March 1748) was the Duke of Pontus and a member of the imperial family of Diadochia, the House of Komnenos-Palaiologos, and as such was a Sebastos or prince du sang (a prince of the Blood. At his father's death, he became the Protosebastos (the First Prince of the Blood]] (Premier Prince du Sang). Known as Eric le Pieux (Eric the Pious) and also as Eric généreux, Eric was known at court for his charitable pious nature. The prince was cultured but played no part in politics.
