David Richard Solberg (born August 28, 1943) is an American actor, singer, and director who went by the stage name of David Soul, who directed the episode "No Exit" in the series Miami Vice.

  • Soul filmed his scenes between Thursday 20 July 1967 and Monday 24 July 1967 at Desilu Stage 10. After his appearance on Star Trek, he starred as the middle Bolt brother, Joshua, in the TV series Here Come the Brides along with other TOS guest stars Robert Brown, as Bolt's older brother Jason, and Mark Lenard. (Bolt would in fact appear in in the 1985 novel Ishmael, a crossover story in which Lenard's character is revealed to be an ancestor of Amanda Grayson, and therefore Spock as well.) He also played Rick Blaine in a short-lived TV series adaptation of Casablanca. Two of the five episodes made were directed by Ralph Senensky. In addition, he recorded a #1 single called Don't Give Up On Us.
