The Corporate Regulation Act of 2001, or simply the Corporate Regulation Act, was a referendum put forward to the Parliament of Wessex by a Direct Democratic vote and petition. The Act was implemented by the Parliament on the 12th February 2001, and was put in place to regulate corporations operating in Wessex, prohibiting companies monopolising the market. The Act also stimulises small local businesses by regulating the amount of influence a large company can have in a given location by both their store branches and mass advertising.
