| - thumb|200pxBagan ist ein Kaiju, das in mehreren Filmen auftauchen sollte, aber stets aus dem Drehbuch gestrichen wurde. Er erschien dann allerdings 1993 in dem Videospiel Super Godzilla.
- Brought to the modern day by a group of alien invaders who were intending to conquer Earth, the creature was genetically altered by the aliens - who augmented it with the DNA of both the mutated dinosaur Godzilla and the alien dragon King Ghidorah. Placed under their mind control, the ancient beast underwent a metamorphosis as its body reacted to the augmentation of Godzilla and King Ghidorah's DNA. This resulted in the creature violently emerging from its 'cocoon' as one of the strongest monsters on the planet. Bagan's true form before his genetic augmentation is never shown.
- Bagan's original concept was a shape-shifting creature that switched between a dragon form, a fish form, and an ape form, and finally into a totem-like form. Bagan's second concept was a giant bipedal dragon-like creature with two massive spikes on his back, two devil-like horns on his head, and a nasal horn.
- Bagan (Burmese: ပုဂံ; MLCTS: pu.gam, pronounced [pəɡàN]), formerly Pagan, is an ancient city in the Mandalay Division of Burma. Formally titled Arimaddanapura or Arimaddana (the City of the Enemy Crusher) and also known as Tambadipa (the Land of Copper) or Tassadessa (the Parched Land), it was the ancient capital of several ancient kingdoms in Burma. It is located in the dry central plains of the country, on the eastern bank of the Ayeyarwady River, 90 miles (145 km) southwest of Mandalay.
