- Season 15 is the sixth season of the Project build it series
- Season 15 premiered on November 2, 2003 with "Treehouse of Horror XIV" and ended on May 23, 2004 with "Fraudcast News". On the cover of the DVD of the season appears Otto Mann, the school bus driver.
- Season 15 of American Idol, prominently known as American Idol: The Farewell Season, premiered on January 6, 2016 on Fox and concluded on April 7, 2016 with Mississippi singer Trent Harmon declared the final winner of the show. Host Ryan Seacrest returned as the host as did judges Keith Urban, Jennifer Lopez, and Harry Connick, Jr.. Big Machine Records CEO Scott Borchetta returned as the in-house mentor. Nigel Lythgoe returned as the executive producer during the finale.
- All serials of season 15 were released individually in between 2005 and 2011.
- The fifteenth season of the television series aired during March 2011 in the UK and between April and June in the US. This season has a total of twenty episodes.

- Season 15 was the start of the Williams Era, but it's sort of a gradual evolution rather than a radical change. The stories are still pretty dark, but not as violent. Each story is still mostly focused on one idea, and when they do the storm-of-too-many-ideas things they're more Robert Holmes style ideas than Douglas Adams style. Tom continues to be Based af by disagreeing with directors and telling them to fuck off, K-9 gets introduced, and Louise Jamiematheison's Leela finally changes her clothes (and her eye colour). Also, RIP wooden TARDIS.
