MG-A-01, aka Darkon, was the first Magna-Guard created by the Mustafar Pirates, shortly before their raid on Polis Massa. He first took part in a mission to Utapau, when Mezo Nelon and Allison Peno were captured by a Black Sun Operative and held in a prison located in and around a Sinkhole. Darkon, Silva, and several B1 and B2 Battle Droids attacked the facility, while Gura Kei and Grizzor took on the enemy in the air and space, respectively. When Darkon advanced through the facility alone (Silva and the Battle Droids stayed back to hold off Black Sun Troops), the Black Sun Operative threatened to kill Allison. When Darkon advanced through the facility alone (Silva and the Battle Droids stayed back to hold off Black Sun Troops), the Black Sun Operative threatened to kill Allison. However, turbolasers from Grizzor's bombardment of the surface facilities caused quakes which allowed Darkon to close on the operative. Darkon and the operative fought each other, using Electrostaffs and lightsabers respectively, until Darkon finally killed the Black Sun Operative. He took the Black Sun Operative's stolen lightsabers as his own and got Allison and Mezo to evac.
